Object Level

The supported entities for the object level are:

• Dashboards

• Reports

• Paginated Reports

• Semantic Models

• Tables of the semantic models

• Power BI Apps

Information per Object in Details file

These parameters are displayed per object:

• Workspace

• Label

• Type

• Physical Name (ID)

• Source information of Tables

• Capacity (for workspaces)

Lineage

Lineage on object level between all the entities mentioned above. E.g. which reports are used in Dashboards or which Semantic Models is uses in which report etc.

Filtering

A filtering on the following properties is possible:

• workspace

• capacity

• objectName

• objectType

Column Level

The Metadata API for Microsoft Power BI support the following on column level:

• Structure of tables

• Columns

  • Name

  • Type

• Measures

  • Name

  • Type

  • Formula

• Lineage on column level between measures and other columns

• Relationships (foreign key relationships) of the tables of the semantic models - needs to be checked
